How to promote a blog

To sum things up, these are things I am going to do to promote 51 grand:

   1. Comment on other related blogs – this tends to be the best in the beginning!
   2. Exchange links with other bloggers
   3. Guest Blogging
   4. Interviews

   1. Facebook

4. Enable interactivity
   1. Enable comments on my own blog
   2. Enable people to bookmark the way they want (Popular Social Media Icons)
   3. Enable several RSS options
5. Help people
   1. Yahoo Answers!
   2. Participate in related forums. I am starting on SitePoint.
6. Viral Techniques
   1. Videos on Youtube or Revver
   2. Give away free stuff.
   3. Run Blog Competitions
7. Use traditional methods
   1. Tell my friends, coworkers, spread the word offline.
   2. Put a signature to my email.
   3. Online and Offline Advertising
   4. Press Release
