Tracking Affiliate Campaigns with Google Analytics

I was often wondering which of my campaigns are performing and which are not.

For instance if you advertise your business online at several places: forums, private ad deals, email campaigns you can track your sucess with Google Analytics.

You just need to tag your links. Google offers a free tool called URL Builder that tags your links so you can recognize them later in Google Analytics.

How to set it up?

The whole thing is very simple.

  1. You enter your URL in the box.
  2. Fill in your Campaign Source, Medium and Campaign Name.
  3. Generate your URL

That’s it!

How to see results?

To view your results log into your Analytics Account and go to: Traffic Sources>Campaigns

Free 12 Week Internet Marketing Course

Shoemoney Extreme Guide

Shoemoney Extreme Guide

Do you want to make money online? Do you want to learn from the guy who makes $15 million per year online?

You can! For free. Just go to www.shoemoneyx.com and sign up. It is FREE!

About the Guide

Ok. Guys. The value itself of getting information from Jeremy is incredible.  I just received the PDF for Week 1 and there is nothing extreme about it. It is an introduction to Internet Marketing. You can get this information anywhere on internet. But what is SUPER IMPORTANT are the tasks at the end of the guide you need to complete to get things done.

THIS IS THE SINGLE IMPORTANT THING ABOUT INTERNET MARKETING: You need to get things done!!!!

You need to invest time and money and work hard. At the end of the day there needs to be some progress. It is freaking hard and that is the reason so many fail.

But it can be done. Stick with me, and I will help you do it!

Purpose of the Guide for Shoemoney

Jeremy is a marketing pro and I respect him a lot. Jeremy understands the principles of making money. He knows giving away this 12 Week Guide for free will build him a very big email list. Probably one of the biggest lists in internet marketing industry. He could easily get 200.000 or more subscribers. And that means 200.000 highly interested people who trust him and know he provides valuable information.

And than the magic happens: Jeremy will be able to sell his products to this list with very high conversion rates. I am not talking about 3 or 5 % conversion rates which are common for the industry. I am talking about 10, 20 30 % or even more. Just do the math.  15% conversion rate with 200K subscribers means 30.000 sales.

Jeremy is selling his Shoemoney Tools package for $100 per month. $100 x 30.000 = $3,000,000. EVERY FREAKING MONTH!

Do you now understand why is Jeremy giving this guide for FREE?

My purpose of following Shoemoney and his 12 Week Guide

My goal is to examine Shoemoney`s Guide into detail. Learn as much as possible from the PDFs. But the most important thing for me is to understand the way he is doing the whole thing.

I want to learn the way he captures visitors on his landing page (www.shoemoneyx.com), how he sends the guide out, what is the frequency, how he presents offers and so on. I want to learn this so I can create a similar project on my own.

How to cope with work overload in Internet Marketing

We all have the same problem. There is a lot of work to do, but limited resources. But what can I do?

Time Management

Time Management

1. Time and task management

I found out I need to organize myself better, manage my time better. Sometimes I found myself working on a task for too long. Especially when doing keyword research I tend to fall into browsing websites for hours. Not good! I need to analyze which tasks are stealing my time away. I also need to make priorities.

2. Effective planning

Sometimes I just start working without a proper plan. Not good! I learned that I can only achieve goals if I determine certain amount of time to each task. And after the time is up, I move to next task. Sometimes I just keep doing the same task for more time than planned and than I can`t follow the plan. Not good! I decided I will stick to the plan. Oh. another thing: I create a plan every day before I go to sleep and put it on my desk. So first thing I see in the morning is my daily plan.

3. Killing time wasters

I hate when people think I am the tech-guy that knows everything about computers. I know I am nice and polite and I like to help people with computer problems. But this is not good for my productivity! I found out to cut some of my habits such as phone calls, instant messengers, emails, news checking,… when I am actively working. The fact is these things often pop-up unexpectedly and disturb my work.

4. Value my time

This is indirectly connected with work overload. I used to accept projects with lower budgets to help people get started on internet. But the truth is, there is as much work as there would be with a good paying customer, but the pay is way lower. And that forces me to do even more work to get by the month. Not good! I need to set myself a price that is fair and that reflects my knowledge and experience. Only by doing this I can support my Internet Marketing journey.

Start making changes

Huh! Nice read. But if I want to make a difference I need to put these things into action! Here is what I will be doing from today on:

  • Create a plan for next day before going to bed.
  • Work on each task only for the time predicted. Than move to the next task.
  • Eliminate time wasters.
  • Accept only projects that have a normal budget. Learn to say no when necessary!

Ok. This is my list. How are you guys coping with work overload?

I haven`t tried it yet so I can`t tell you if it delivers or not. But I can see a lot of membership sites popping up lately which aim to support affiliate marketers.

This is OK, but information overload is one of the biggest problems we face today. For instance I am a member of Wealthy Affiliate (I highly recommend it btw.) and a member of Shoemoney Tools (also an awesome package – click on the top right banner to check it out) and there is just so much information in these programs.

I haven`t been able to learn half of the info they provided – so it just isn`t smart to jump into another learning program. But Opportunity.com might be amazing. Maybe you can try it and tell me more about it.
